Polish Soltys in the European Union

Polish Soltys in the European UnionFDPA realised the project in the collaboration with the Polish Association of Counties (pol.Zwiazek Powiatow Polskich). Upon the request of the Office for European Integration Committee, FDPA prepared a set of publications used during the Program funded by the Delegation of the European Commission in Poland and UKIE. The Program called “Polish Soltys in the EU” comprised of 100 meetings with rural leaders (soltys).

The set of 3 publications covered the problem of the CAP and its evolution, Structural Funds, necessary adjustments to integration with EU, EU pre-accession assistance (Phare, ISPA, SAPARD), the role of farmer organisations in the EU and Poland’s negotiations with the EU. Over 7500 participants received the training along with the materials prepared FDPA.
