Foundation for the Development of Polish Agriculture has implemented two projects financed from EU Structural Funds - European Social Fund - „Assistance to Entrepreneurs”.
The projects were implemented in two regions of zachodniopomorskie voivodship (North-Western Poland): poviat Mysliborz and poviats Polczyn and Drawsko. The projects targeted people wanting to start own business, they cannot be unemployed, and they have to live in the regions covered by the projects. The project provided assistance to over 200 people (over 100 in each region).
The projects main activities:
- Training sessions for all beneficiaries on how to start own business: SME registration, financial analysis, business plan development, basics of SME accounting and management.
- Advisory services to 80 beneficiaries.
- Grants (700 PLN monthly, about 185 euro) for 60 beneficiaries during first 6-12 months into business operations. Grants are to cover social insurance, tax and other operational costs and to help new businesses to survive at the market.
- Investment grants (up to 5 000 euro each) to 60 beneficiaries to cover investment costs to start own business operations.
The project beneficiaries can also benefit from FDPA lending offer to cover investment and operational costs of the businesses.
Main results of the projects implementation:
• 79 new businesses established
• 32 additional job places in newly established companies (over 50% for women).
